OPERATION SLEDGE HAMMER

Further to my signal of 3198.240 in which I outlined the JAC intention to destroy the Exterminator base at Granyt.

1. JAC GRAND FLEET

1.1 CinC GRAND FLEET

Upon receipt of this signal Admiral Hogan Stipes GFAN is hereby appointed CinC GRAND FLEET JACQ7.

This appointment will remain in effect until the Grand Fleet returns to the Aligned Systems of Q7.

1.2 GRAND FLEET ORBAT

The Grand Fleet will consist of the following JAC Fleets: JAC 1st Allied Fleet less the Centauran Task Group (current location Dyme) CinC Sir George Tryon EN; Esteeler Fleet Audie L Murphy (current location Matanzas) CinC Admiral Hogan Stipes; JAC 5th Allied Fleet (current location Potomax) CinC Admiral Yuri Leonov VN; Earther-Sirian Task Forces TF71, TF72, TF74, TFS1 (OP Wild Goose - various locations) CinC Rear Admiral Juan Barroso EN.

1.3 COMMAND STRUCTURE

CinC Grand Fleet is under command of SCJAC. CinCs 1AF and 5AF are under command of Admiral H Stipes. CinC Earther-Sirian Task Forces TF71, TF72, TF74, TFS1 is subordinate to Admiral of the White Sir George Tryon EN.

2. SITUATION

Report issued 3198.240 from Prime Minister Gillian Markless of the Union of Zion given at the Potomax Summit Conference. The Zionist Navy has detected a Exterminator Base within the Granyt System GR685097. Initial intelligence and analysis indicates that the Exterminator facilities are 3 to 4 times the size of the Odin's Seat base recently captured on Flypaper IV. They consist of a planetary base and orbital stations.

TO DESTROY THE Exterminator BASE AT GRANYT

5. EXECUTION

5.1 COMMANDER'S COMMENTS

This operation is estimated to require a minimum of 150 days for completion. The size and power of the Exterminator Base at Granyt it estimated to be 3 to 4 times as large as the Exterminator Base at Flypaper. JACHQ aim is to destroy the enemy base whilst sustaining the minimum JAC casualties and equipment losses as possible. To achieve these minimum losses tactics such as driving asteroids into Exterminator planet bases and orbital stations are to be adopted where practicable (CODENAME HOGAN'S HAMMER).

5.2 GRAND FLEET R.V.

Non-aligned system Y26 will be used as an R.V. for the approach journey. Fleet Audie L Murphy and 5AF will assemble ouside the Y26 M25 with all despatch. 1AF will leave Dyme when replaced by 6AF (see below).

5.3 ASSEMBLY OF THE GRAND FLEET

5.3.1 Admiral H Stipes, ASS MAKE IT SO and JAC 5th Allied Fleet will depart Potomax for Y26 M25 3198.253. ETA at Y26 M25 = 3198.284

5.3.2 Upon receipt of this signal (ETA at Matanzas = 3198.265) Rear Admiral B.R.Chevron ASS HAS HE LUCK will move to Potomax to take command of Fleet Rodger Young. ETA at Potomax = 3198.289

5.3.3 Upon receipt of this signal (ETA at Matanzas = 3198.265) Fleet Audie L Murphy (excepting ASS HAS HE LUCK) will move to Y26 M25. ETA at Y26 M25 = 3198.293.

5.3.4 1st Allied Fleet will leave Dyme to join the Grand Fleet when the 6th Allied Fleet is assembled there and is fully operational (see below). ETA at Y26 M25 = 3198.298 (based on TG7 leaving Dyme when RESERVE FLEET RICHARD E FLEMING arrives 3198.277).

5.4 ASSEMBLY OF 6TH ALLIED FLEET

At the time of writing the Sirian 4th Shock Fleet is not available to form part of 6AF nor is Admiral Gorickal to be CinC. 6AF will consist of the following: Centauran Task Group currently part of 1AF, location Dyme; and the Esteeler ships listed below. Upon arrival at Dyme CinC RESERVE FLEET RICHARD E FLEMING will take command of 6AF.
