SITUATION

The situation is as follows:

A top secret Naval Intelligence Research station, codenamed SERENITY has sent out a code red distress call. It has since gone off the air.

The nature of the station's activity remains classified, and although its location is almost certainly unknown to the Berserkers, the possibility of a Berserker raid cannot be ruled out.

The objects being researched, and any surviving civilian personnel on the station are not expendable.

The Base is built in a small tunnelled out asteroid and has defensive HELL and cannon, and a complement of a group of marines.

The commander of the Task Group is Admiral Pellew, recently detached from Colonial HQ Staff.

PLAN

The plan is as follows:

The Martian Special Squad will effect an entry and recce the base.   The 153rd (an experienced regiment) plus Martian attachments are to enter the base and secure certain items of equipment and essential personnel.

ESS Agamemnon is to provide medical and casevac services using its own facilities supplemented by 153 EMR's assault shuttles.

CSS Hindenburg is to provide transmission cover from outside the M25 which is 1 AU away.

The other fleet units are to keep watching positions at optimium weapon engagement range.

Humanity Will Prevail.

Pellew.
