!Senior Citizens The Senior Citizens are a large "apolitical" body of elder statesmen within the [Solar Republic] who form an advisory body to the political leadership of the [Earth Empire]. They are all over 100 years of age and are largey self selecting. [The Twelve] family dynasties have sigificant influence within this body. The vast majority of the most active Senior Citizens live and work in [Quadrant 0] where they can have the greatest influence on decision making. The influence of the Senior Citizens is often the most prominent during the selection of the [First Citizen] and when the First Citizen and [First Minister] are at odds over key areas of policy making.
