Tendashi

One of The Twelve Families of the Solar Republic.

The Tendashi family are one of the Tier One families in the Solar Republic and dominated the political scene between 3120 and 3158 with three successive First Citizens. They have been a major rival of the Rathbones for most of the last century.

Without a candidate of their own the[Tendashis are known to have thrown their political weight behind the Zhangs for the position of First Citizen in 3215 in order to avoid another Rathbone. The leading Tendashi candidate (Viktor) was killed in a shuttle crash in 3214, but they have since groomed his younger sister (Jennifer) through the Senate for future political office.

The Tendashis have strong contacts in the intelligence community and internal security forces. They have very strong military and corporate contacts on Earth itself as well as Old Mars and the Belt.

The Tendashis favour strong centralised government and internal security for the Republic, but have less interest in the wider Empire, the Admiralty and Colonial government.
