Space Ripples

Mysterious Astronomical Phenomenon
Also know as "Space-Time Event Energy Manifestations"

First detected in the Sol system in 3221

“They are like tides or waves between planets in a star system” said Professor Aktion the lead scientist at the Solar Institute of Science on Luna speaking about the discovery in 3221.
She went on to say “… the quantum flow phenomena have been known, at some level, for centuries, and these particular fluctuations have been in the data all along. It was only as a result of a chance conversation at the water cooler between two researchers, Prof Janet Ffoulkes working on dimensional transfer theory and a junior cosmologist Dr Hans Stone, that the data was looked at from a different perspective – where previously this had been filed under ‘…we know all about this, nothing to see here…’ we appear to have made the first fundamental scientific advancement in 400 years. Of course, the work has yet to be peer reviewed, but we have circulated the findings to all major institutes in human space for confirmation (or not)”.

This discovery not only caused ripples in space-time it is causing tidal waves in the scientific community because some speculate that this might cause a revision to humanity’s understanding of the nature of spacetime, parallel dimensions, time and the universe.

Although these ripples are very nearly undetectable and no hazard to shipping, scientists in the Solar System admited to being ‘mildly baffled’ at the changes in spacetime ripple activity.
However Professor Tatsu of the University of Eros Astrophycis Faculty said in a press interview “Look, these are mainly interesting marginal phenomena. Yes, I realise they aren’t really explainable within our current understanding of the nature of space-time, but their existence is more of a theoretical conundrum than a ‘spacetime tsunami’ as some of the more sensationalist media have been reporting.”

Ripples in the Quadrants

Reports then started to come in from an outer quadrant of similar phenomena in Quadrant 7 in 3226 - 3227.
Space ripple effects were identified in the Xynam system (q7) in 3226 and the Marque system (Q7) in 3227.

Scientists in Q7 were able to confirm that there was a common quantum resonance frequency between both the Q7 detections and the Q0 detections, prompting suggestions that the effects might be entangled in some weird way, though this remains to be proved.
