!Starship Marines (tm)

The elite soldiers of space.  Highly trained in the specialist activity of fighting in zero-g and a vacuum, in the confines of a crippled starship.

They are psychologically adapted to use a behaviour-enhancing drug called the [Marine Activation Drug] or MAD

!!STARSHIP MARINES ARE ALL REAL MEN, RIGHT?

No.  In fact the term 'men' is outdated.  Biological or social gender characteristics are not used to describe members of the military, especially as gender fluidity has been the norm for humanity for centuries.  The same goes for sexual preferences - nobody cares.  In fact why are you even asking this question?

Of course all Marines are genetic [Perfects] and few marine corps will allow [Transhumanists] in their ranks (officially because of the higher maintenance requirement of [Cyborg Humans] on operations).

!!ARE MARINES TRAINED TO USE GF WEAPONS?

Yes, it forms part of their basic training. Marines are able to use [GF Infantry] weapons - but ideally they would need a period of reorientation training to suit them for planetside combat.  Once on the ground, their high degree of training and MAD gives then a considerable advantage, although their starship marine armour is not optimised for fighting in gravity, so they are considerable slower than, say GF Armoured troops.  If GF Armour and equipment is available, then they would be able to utilise that very effectively.
