!Council of Representatives (Of the [Solar Republic]) The Representatives are elected by all citizens of the [Earth Empire], once every five years. The main role of the Representatives is to provide citizens with a route to express their individual views into the larger body politic of the Empire. There are individual Councils within each Quadrant but these are together known as the "Council of Representatives". The Council very rarely meets as a single body and conducts most business virtually. The Council is also responsible for eleting new members to the [Imperial Senate], where most key political decisions are debated. Final executive authority rests with the [First Minister] and his Cabinet.
