Political Structures There are three major colonial groupings on the colony world. **The New Bishopric** - ruled by a Council Of (self-styled) Bishops of the Universal Church. This has been described as a fundamentalist theocracy. The colony was originally funded by the Martian corporation Barnaby Orbital Industries. The other two groupings, the **New Liberty Colony** and the **Freedom Colony** have broadly democratic political systems, and no dominanet religious demographic. New Liberty was funded by Transtellar Shipping Lines of Centaur, and the Freedom COlony was created by investments from Nanotech of Earth. !!Tensions There have been considerable tensions over border incursions by the New Bishopric, who appear to feel a missionary zeal in their dealings with the other groupings on the planet.
