Evidence is coming to light of certain 'changes' in the leadership and attitude of the SSSQ7. This consist effectively of a orthodox communist coup. Fex-It and his cronies (a 'conspiracy' which has much wider branches into the Sirian Socialist Systems, consisting of members of the SCP (Sirius Communist Party)) have taken up the opportunity offered by the State of Emergency to establish orthodox control of SSSQ7. If they feel strong enough they might try similar actions in other quadrants, even in the home systems.

Instrumental in this has been the reinstitution of the Commissariat, which of course consist of party members only. After firm control of the executive was established, Fex-It moved against more moderate factions within the polity, which were much less organised and unprepared. Several of these have been detained, questioned and are about to go on trial for various indictments such as: 'Negligence of duty', 'Defeatism', 'Treason' and 'Ideologiocal deviation'.

Fex-It has (unconstitutionally) set up the Extra-Ordinary Committees for Public Defence against Counter-Revolutionaries, Saboteurs, Profiteers and Defeatists, or ExOCom, which apparantly is under direct control of and answerable only to the Executive Committee of the Politburo of the SCPQ7. B. Lavrenty has been placed in charge of these Committees. They are armed and have been responsible for the arrests of many of the above mentioned personae.

Similarly the tone of propaganda has changed to stress the importance of the party and Fex-It. One seen fairly often these days is:
