| Word has been filtering out of the sealed worlrd of Evangelou that the planetary authorities have instituted Martial Law on the colony world. Stories are coming out of this mysterious world that the military are now in complete control and that the entire system is on a war footing - althought quite what the threat is is utterly unknown. The Wolf government remains unavailable for comment on tevents at Evangelou, and appears to continuue its political paralysis following the dissappearance of Lord Young several octants ago. Prime Ministerial Elections have been suspended on Wolf 359 amid dark hints of an impending crisis of some sort. Opposition is growing to the current Wolf Government as a result of its inaction. |

The
hostilities between the Republic of New Luxembourg (RNL) and We
Got Here Colony (WGH) reached a significant new stage here as the
main WGH naval base was hit by a nuclear weapon in the kilton range
- destroying the facilities there and killing over 19,000 people.
This was followed by an all out assault on WGH facilties in the
Ying Archepelago - causing heavy losses and securing a number of
key areas from WGH forces. Ongoing operations seem likely to result
in a RNL victory by the end of the year.

claims that he has incontrovertable proof that the Forerunners will
shortly return to human space and deliver the fruits of many millenium
of research to humanity '...their chidlren...'. Van Hazard has once
again been pooh-poohed by the respectable scientific community -
but this has not discouraged the sales of his latest book, "My
Family Are Forerunners". He recently requested police protection
from the Clewg government because, he alleged "They" are
after him for "...what I know...". He has been coy in
public about precisely who "They" might be - but close
friends suggest he firmly believes that the governments of humanity
are controlled and manipulated by a secretive cabal who are keeping
the Truth from humankind. Apparently he has not gone public with
these views for fear of being thought eccentric.
