Mission Specification
The Blue Hope Colony on the Eastern continent of Z178 is suffering from continual pirate raids. It is believed that a pirate base is located somewhere on the planet, and these criminals are using the facilities of Blue Hope Colony as a source of food and supplies stolen on constant raiding.
The raids are not enough to cripple the economy of Z178 immediately, but if not halted immigration may halt and the colony fail.
The mission is to seek and destroy the planetside pirate base and ideally capture their ships.

Local Forces
Currently Blue Hope Colony has a small militia security force of about 1,000 part-timers with a cadre of 120 full timers. Most of the colonists carry arms routinely.
It has 8 cargo lift shuttles, and a selection of flyers and light shuttles. These are all currently essential parts of the economic infrastruture and not available for military use.
Heavy equipment is scarce.
The system does not have an orbital, and currently it is having trouble attracting inward investment to build one.

Payment
The colony is not rich. Best bids in the region of 1,000,000 credits will be considered.
The contract also includes a 50% share in the value of captured
equipment, and 50% of all bounties on captured pirates.
