Each capital ship has an allocation of 4 nuclear warheads, and that each nuke needs to be replaced every ten years.
Q7 production capacities as follows:
| Nationality | War Reserve | Operational stocks | Prodn per year |
| Earth | 20 | 40 | 4 |
| Venerian | 18 | 36 | 4 |
| Mars | 22 | 44 | 4 |
| Asteel | 32 | 64 | 4 |
| Centauri | 10 | 16 | 2 |
| Sirius | 10 | 8 | 1 |
| Wolfers | 10 | 8 | 1 |
| Zion | unknown | unknown | prob. 1 |
(Note: War reserves are kept at Naval Repair stations or other secure bases, usually in orbit).
In addition to starting nukes, the following capital ships have arrived in Q7 since the start of 3197:
Mars: 10 capital ships (40 nukes)
Earth: 6 capital ships (24 nukes)
Asteel: 11 capital ships (44 nukes)
Centaurus: 2 capital ships (8 nukes)
Most of the Martian original assignment was lost or used at Baldar, and someone will have to count how many we used at Flypaper but between the naval battle and surface bombardment Mars and Asteel have pretty much cleaned themselves out. I don't know how many Earth thinks it has fired off versus Berserkers, and of course the Venerians may or may not have lost a nuke in the Tuskan system but would deny everything anyway...
