Admiral,
Force Midgard arrived Flypaper 3198:050. Leaving auxiliaries at M25 to act as relays, we proceeded insystem in battle formation. Preliminary sensor data indicated that the main planet (pop ca 500,000) was under Exterminator bombardment.
Within 24 hours, we sighted three major burns leaving the planet, apparently on an intercept course. They were very large, and our first thought was that they were full BSBs! We immediately reversed course to the M25 limit. A crew mutiny occurred on the MSS 'Odin' at this time at the prospect of engaging three ESBs, but has been successfully contained by marine contingents.
The (presumed) BSBs returned to the planet as soon as they ascertained that we were no longer approaching and recommenced their bombardment.
On the supposition that they may 'only' be 'Viking' modules, I ordered a probe launched insystem for confirmation, and began a thorough computer analysis of energy output for comparison with known ESB energy levels from Thor and Baldar encounters, and Viking data provided by Earther scientists.
I can now confirm that there are indeed THREE (3) Exterminator Super-Battleships at Flypaper (computer reports a 90%+ probable match with known characteristics, at total power levels 2.6 - 3.1 times that of a single ESB). I will continue to monitor the situation, but obviously have no ability to tackle such a force and will jump back to Baldar if they approach too closely.
I have to say I'm at a bit of a loss.
