1st = Maintain a fleet in being.
2nd = Defence of Human Colonies.
3rd = Destruction of Berserker units.
The Berserker base at Flypaper has been captured. The five Joint Allied Command Fleets now need to be repositioned to guard against further BSB attacks upon aligned systems and to support OPERATION WILD GOOSE, the investigation of where the Berserkers have come from.
The fundamental Mission of all five JAC Fleets is the protection of the Aligned Systems of Quadrant 7. Thus the Area of Operation for the JAC Fleets is restricted to these Aligned Systems except where specified below. However the only way to ensure that protection is to destroy Berserker units. Therefore JAC Fleet CinCs are permitted to engage any Berserker unit they become aware of, where their Fleet is closest, at their discretion and without waiting for orders from JACHQ. In this circumstance the CinC of the engaging Fleet should request cover from the neighbouring Fleet(s), and such cover should be provided where possible.
2.1 FIRST ALLIED FLEET
Upon receipt of this order, 1AF will move to an RV outside the M25 of DYME. New Area of Operation will be south of an east-west line through F-LUENT, and north of an east-west line through FLORYN inclusive, but excluding BIG GREENIE.
2.2 FLEET MIDGARD
Upon receipt of this order, FLEET MIDGARD - less FLYPAPER SQUADRON - will move to an RV outside the M25 of XYNAM. (Note that this is a change from the warning order of 3198.122.) New Area of Operation will be south of an east-west line through LOKI, and north of an east-west line through M'DRID inclusive, but excluding SIL and MATANZAS.
2.3 FLEET ROGER YOUNG
Upon receipt of this order, FLEET ROGER YOUNG, less ASS Malvinas, will move to an RV outside the M25 of POTOMAX. New Area of Operation will be south of an east-west line through B'NARTH, and north of an east-west line through BIG GREENIE inclusive, but excluding GRYT and F'LUENT.
2.4 FLEET AUDIE MURPHY
Upon receipt of this order, FLEET AUDIE MURPHY will move to an RV outside the M25 of MATANZAS. FLEET AUDIE MURPHY's Mission is to guard systems SIL and MATANZAS, and to provide support for OPERATION WILD GOOSE. The new Area of Operation and will extend 'eastwards' to grid line 670, and between the east-west lines 050 and 090 inclusive. FLEET AUDIE MURPHY is to seek to engage any Berserker units discovered within the Area of Operation. FLEET AUDIE MURPHY is to communicate with both the ESTEELER SCOUT FLOTILLA and the EARTHER-SIRIAN ALLIED TASK GROUP 7 (Rear Admiral Juan Barroso EN commanding, flagship ESS Mario) now approaching the DARK NEBULA.
2.5 FIFTH ALLIED FLEET
Upon receipt of this order, FIFTH ALLIED FLEET will move to an RV outside the M25 of POTOMAX. The FIFTH ALLIED FLEET will act as a reserve Fleet, to be moved to replace any of the other Fleets when that Fleet moves to engage a Berserker unit.
2.6 FLYPAPER SQUADRON
FLYPAPER SQUADRON to consist of ASS Malvinas, MSS Hero, Intrepid and Olympus Mons (HST relay at M25), and another LSSI to be selected by Admiral Rice-Burroughs. Mission to guard ODIN'S SEAT until relieved.
2.7 JACHQ will go to Potomax.
