OPERATION BAILIFF

In a combined operation the human forces in Quadrant 6 have eradicated the exterminator presence at BEGIN. A space battle has been fought and an exterminator base located in BEGIN system (GRID 632922) destroyed.

We have just fought a battle against an enemy super battleship and defeated it. In the Battle all six human battleships in my force were damaged. The enemy battleship was destroyed by nuclear missiles.

Human losses were comparatively light, all six battleships engaged were damaged (five Earther and one Martian) and 24 pacifiers were lost, all bar four of the pilots were subsequently recovered. No enemy forces were detected leaving the system.

The two most severely damaged vessels, ESS Idi Amin & ESS Moshe Dyan, left BEGIN for D'HAS immediately after the battle for repairs. Both these ships are repairable and should be fully operational within 100 days. I expect them to re-join the fleet no later than 3199.150.

After the battle an enemy base was detected on BEGIN IV. This was very similar in general layout and design to the installation found at Flypaper (Quadrant 7), but apparently about half the area, with three surface defence installations (SDI). During our approach the enemy tried to construct further defensive installations on the surface.

On arrival in orbit the combined human fleet conducted a surface bombardment with nuclear weapons and PAD. This resulted in the total destruction of the SDIs and other enemy installations. Two Marine Regiments landed on the surface after the bombardment to deal with enemy forces while the GF Division SIGIL arrived to ensure that the enemy base was no longer operational.

There was minimal resistance to our operations on the surface and we can now confirm that the enemy presence in BEGIN has been completely and utterly destroyed.
