The crew sign on with the Like A Virgin for shares of the profits after an agreed deduction for ship operating costs.

The Captain can propose to use some loot to purchase additional equipment - but this must be agreed with the crew.

The remainder is divided up on the following basis:

Captain - 5 shares
First Officer - 3 shares
T echnical officer - 3 shares
All Combat officers - 2 shares
Ship's medic - 2 shares.
All other crew - 1 share

The crew have agreed that an additional half-share will be payable to anyone who the crew feel has contributed in an exceptional way to the success of a particular mission.

After a particular 'divvy' any member of the crew who wishes to leave the ship with their share may do so freely.

The Ship

Class 5000 Interstellar merchant. Maximum crew capacity 50 (with any sort of comfort, or up to 60 in very short trips).

Mounts 3 multicannon concealed in fake cargo pods (marked 'hazardous waste'). Has enough ammo for 30 shots each. The Multicnnon have to be manned by suited crew volunteers who occupy the cargo pod for the purpose (like a sort of 'gun turret')

Always carries 25% of it's cargo 'light', and has good quality thrusters.
This means it can do up to a maximum of 1.5g (straining the fabric of the ship), or 1.35g for sustained periods (enough to overhaul a merchant or outrun most starguard).

In the cargo grid is 2 Pax10 Shuttles (with a mount allowing an SCA3 to be fitted), 1 pax8 shuttle, and two 2-man cargo tugs.
