Richie Gazember - biography
Male, age 23; eyes & hair brown; 1.90cm, muscular build; chest tattoo: skull/flame/snake/SCA1 combo titled 'SKUM'; left buttock tattoo: dagger/heart/snake combo titled 'I LUV DEIRDRE'. Upper canine teeth filed to needle points.

Born into a severely dysfunctional family [mother serial killer, father corporate tax lawyer] this young man never stood a chance of a trouble-free life. His early years on Disney World were marked by parental neglect and cruelty, then by poor-quality institutional life [Goofy Cares Inc.] which gave him a low educational standard and severe self-esteem and psychotic violence issues.

He spent his early teenage years 'adopted' by an asteroid mining team, the 49ers, working as an ore grader and RCV driver. He also picked up basic shuttle pilot skills, and showed an aptitude for tasks involving fast reflexes and good spacial awareness. His first discipline infractions were for petty theft and brawling. Following an incident when he was accused of stealing emergency oxygen supplies, leading to a death, Richie was thrown out of the mining team. He moved back to his birthplace, to the giant 'Orbitals Chain' of Disney World, aged 15. He had a number of half-brothers and sisters; by this time both his parents were dead, oddly enough both by cop-assisted suicide on separate occasions.

Gazember quickly moved into organised crime, first as a look-out and errand boy. He worked for the series of loosely-linked Spacia gangs centred on Franklin Mezzo, now aged 49, known as 'The Pork Butcher' and allegedly the Spacia 'capo' for the Disney Orbitals crime operations, including drugs, prostitution, extortion, cable TV, financial services and 'pork' sausages.

By the age of 18 Richie Gazember was a Spacia 'soldier,' heavily involved in violence and intimidation. Ruthless and tough, he specialised in brutal beatings-up. He carried out a few heists and 'hits' for the Spacia. At age 20 he was arrested for the murder of Fescue Verdano, an alleged informer, but charges were dropped.

In the Orbitals, Richie worked part-time in a pet shop where he showed real skill in caring for and breeding reptiles and amphibians. For a while he even ran his own store, allegedly supplying venomous animals for use in terror and assassination, before it was shut down by police. He continues keeping lizards and snakes as a hobby.

Aged 21 Gazember completed his training as an orbital shuttle pilot and worked for one year as a pilot/bodyguard for Frankie Mezzo and his lieutenants. Following an incident involving a stabbing in a nightclub, Richie was told to 'have some free time' by Mezzo. He then joined a pirate vessel, the SS 'Evil Dead' [Capt. Gargunza] as a combat crewman and shuttle pilot.
