Orders
We took orders from the Captain of the EVI and followed them.
These orders identified our principal target as the Enemy EVI and ALSI. Not the pacifiers the EVI carry.
Outcome, well hoards of well armed EVI swarmed the DDI ZSS Fireflash and wrecked it with acombination of missles of various sorts, hellfire and multicannon.
Other enemy pacifiers annoyed the CLI and my own ship.
Once the enemy pacifiers had wrecked the Firefish they lost a lot of firepower and impetous as they could rearm and refuel themselves due the crappy nature of there EVI. It might be worth condering if you want to convert an LSSI to an SVI could be interesting??
After the enemy pacs had shot their bolt our own pacifiers engaged them in a number of dogfights and aquitted themselves very well.
Our big PAD armed CLI took what it seems was trivial dmage and dealt out considerable but not stopping damage to th enemy EVI and ALSI. The CLI was going to win the space battle given time.
Conclusions,
The lanchester theory which suggests that atatcking the weakest target first is maybe not universal. I think attacking the most dangerous enemy first is the best deal, but really it all depends on imponderables.
Equipment.
The most dangerous things out there are atill a BBI and swarms of pacs. The DDI Firefish is a pretty neat design withs its two turreted hell pods. Its got good all round defence. There are alternnative designs that can defend against Pacs. I think the CLI missile ship would be crap against an AIMs equiped ship. All CAI and BBI captains should consider equipping with an AIMS system.
